The US Open Series Continues

The hard court season is becoming more interesting every match it seems. Clay court players are still doing well on the faster surfaces and the usual surprises continue to present themselves. Upsets continue to happen with some higher ranked players as well. Qualifiers and Wild Card entries are going deeper into the draws, some past the third round. Why do you think this happens this time of year more than other times? Let me know your thoughts and reasons why it seems to happen this time of year. US Open Series has Begun

The grass season is over and now comes the summer and hard court season. The US Open series usually marks the arrival or at least the awareness of young talent as they emerge on the tour scene. Melanie Oudin is one that made here presence known earlier at Wimbledon. I am sure many american fans will be sure to watch her with interest. Tennis continues to grow in popularity and as it does, we will probably see more television coverage of the US Open Series tournaments as these events lead up to the main event in New York City at the end of August. We do know that Nadal has plans to return in Montreal for the Canadian event. This and other exciting news will be coming at us in the very near future. I will be back with you soon as we look at who is rising and falling during these next tour stops. Keep swinging.
